I provide personalized math tutoring on Zoom from 6th grade through college freshman level
(including Algebra II and College Algebra) plus all subject areas of the ACT and SAT.
I use multiple techniques including screen sharing, interactive whiteboards and formula sheets.

Most students only use 20% of their calculator. If you use the TI84 Plus CE, TI30XIIS or the Desmos calculators, I’ll show you the functions that you didn’t know existed. I teach calculator strategies more clearly and effectively than they’re typically taught in the classroom. You’ll learn how to:
· Use equations to create graphs and tables
· Use all the fraction features and conversions
· Save time on tests
Meet your personal math tutor Melissa Davis
My name is Melissa Davis and I am a seasoned educator with more than 25 years of experience teaching mathematics and tutoring students in ACT and SAT preparation, including reading and English. I have successfully guided students from public schools, private schools, homeschool programs, and college classrooms, helping students of all backgrounds build confidence and achieve measurable academic success. With a deep understanding of how students learn, I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance, encouragement, and strategy.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University and a Master’s degree in Education. My strong academic foundation, paired with decades of classroom and one-on-one instruction, allows me to break down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps tailored to each student’s learning style.
Having lived in New York, Canada, Florida, and Tennessee, I bring a broad perspective to my teaching. I am passionate about international culture, lifelong learning, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle—values I encourage in my students as they pursue both academic excellence and personal growth.
